When Lumos Networks and Spirit Communications integrated as a single company, it was important to establish a common set of company values.

After eight company values were determined through workshops and interviews, they then needed to be actionable and memorable.
• With the approval of senior management, value statements were created to support each one.
• Employee interviews revealed an on-the-job story related to each value to underscore their importance.
Success |
The new value statements and stories were coined the Articles of Excellence and revealed through a company-wide digital campaign followed by a 500-employee launch event. They were also built into the walls of the company’s new corporate office and now on display for all employees and visitors.
